Manual Vs Automatic Transmission
Maintenance
Any professional can tell you that working on a manual transmissions is much easier than working with automatic transmissions.the repair costs for automatics are higher.
Manual transmissions if properly operated will go thousands of mileage without problems, well, you also need a good car. The lubricant needs to be replaced periodically but not as frequently as in automatics, but Some cars use special transmission fluids that do not need to be replaced at all.
Costs
Manual transmissions cost less than automatic trans to begin with. When you go to a car dealear you will notice that the stick-shift version of the same model is about a thousand bucks cheaper. Sometimes a thousand dollars seems like not not so much when it comes to buying a new car but forget about the car itself, think of what you can do with an extra $2000.
In the long run, manual transmissions require less service, thus making maintenance cheaper too.

honda or toyota
that the Camry is lower priced, but when you actually go out shopping for both the Camry and Accord, the Camry is priced higher than Accord. If you look at directories, the Camry costs less. It is also harder to negotiate on the Camry vs Accord. I remember back in the day when dealers wouldn't negotiate on the Accord. Strange but true!

Used Engines
Used engine is an engine that usually was removed from a wrecked car.
It can be just fine if the owner of the former car it was in maintained it but that can go from just fine to why did I buy this piece of crxp real quick.Usually you get a warranty, that is to say-the people that put your engine in will get a warranty for the used engine. But you have to make sure they pass that on to you.Things to watch out for are odd noises, oil usage or coolant loss indicating head gasket,or possible engine damage.
Remanufactured engines are just that-used engines that have been rebuilt. These engines should all come with a good warranty that is valid as long as a good shop or mechanic installs the engine correctly.

Remanufactured Engines
Remanufactured engines are just that used engines that have been rebuilt.
These engines should all come with a good warranty that is valid as long as a good shop or mechanic installs the engine correctly.
Remanufactured Engines are more expensive then just used but because the remanufactured engines have mostly new insides you should expect them to last for at least a hundred thousand miles as long as you do your part and maintain them right.Don't expect that with a used motor. The alternative to both is a new motor direct from the manufacturer installed by the dealership but that is a hideously expensive option. But also the most defendable option if you have a problem with the engine installed as these engines should come with the best warranty you can buy.It all boils down to what is left in the car now as to what is the best option too.Replacing a motor with a new motor in a car that the suspension is worn out in does'nt make much sense unless you are willing to put the money in to restore the suspension too.

Different types of Remanufacturing
There are three types of remanufacturing activities. each
with different operational challenges.
Remanufacturing without identity loss with this-method, a
current machine is built on yesterday’s base, receiving all of the
enhancements, expected life and warranty of a new machine. The physical
structure (the chassis or frame) is inspected for soundness. The whole product
is refurbished and critical modules are overhauled, upgraded or replaced. If
there are defects in the original design, they are eliminated. This is the case
for customized remanufacturing of machine tools-airplanes, computer mainframes,
large medical equipment and other capital goods. Because of its uniqueness,
this product recovery is characterized as a project.
Remanufacturing by recoating of worn engine parts; many
engine parts, components are large and expensive and after a period of use
become worn. An example of such a part is the engine block, in particular the
cylinder engine bores, which must withstand explosions during piston firing.
Instead of disposing of large engine blocks, remanufacturing has resulted in
re-use of the parts by coating them with plasma transferred wire arc spraying
(PTWA) Caterpillar known for manufacturing very large industrial trucks and
machinery has started such remanufacturing programs of equipment parts using
PTWA, resulting in a greener environment. Remanufacturing by recoating of parts
is very popular in the aircraft field, the geothermal pipe field and the
automotive engine field.
Repetitive remanufacturing without identity loss; in this
method, there is the additional challenge of scheduling the sequence of
dependent processes and identifying the location of inventory buffers. There is
a fine line between repetitive remanufacturing without loss of identity and
product overhaul. Again, the critical difference is that remanufacturing is a
complete process. The final output has a like-new appearance and is covered by
a warranty comparable to that of a new product.
